The Righteous Patriotic Blues

no trouble from us, we're just exercising
no trouble from us, we're just exercising …
our rights

yeah, we've got our permit
it's called the U.S. Constitution
yeah, we paid the fee
it's called the american revolution
... we're just living

the cops are not our boss, the cops are not our boss
they break the law, all the time
'no cops, no riot' - if there's trouble, at a demo
it's their doing, almost every time

no trouble from us, we're just exercising
our right, to open space
our right to persue … happiness
our right to critically mass, these streets are our streets
these streets are your streets, from sea to shining sea

don't believe the hype, you don't need anyone's permission
you've got the, U.S. constitution
the fee, the american revolution
and before that, we got human rights
you don't need permission … to speak

no trouble from us, we're just exercising
plenty of trouble from us, if you mess with our right
to run our lives, free to assemble
the parks are our parks, from sea to shining sea
... and don't you forget it!

... the U.S. Constitution
... the american revolution
