The East Village in Music & Words: A Conversation with Jesse Rifkin & Roger Manning

Jesse Rifkin is the author of This Must Be the Place: Music, Community, & Vanished Spaces in New York City (Hanover Square Press, 2023). Roger Manning is a New York City-based singer-songwriter who plays an aggressive acoustic style of music. Manning, along with a small handful of other artists, established the original New York City anti-folk scene. Join them for music and conversation on Thursday, December 21st from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM in the Tompkins Square Library Basement (331 East 10th Street).

Tickets are $20 the night of the show, and the most avid Anti-fans can purchase advance tickets for $15 at Webster Hall is located at 125 E. 11th St. and doors open at 6:30 p.m. This is a benefit for a non-profit musician's project that Kirk is trying to put together
